Taking a Leap

When can taking risks help you do the right thing? What sacrifices do we make for the people we care about? Has anyone ever taken a risk or given up something to help you? Have you ever taken a risk to help someone else? Under what circumstances would you consider doing so? Under what circumstances would you not choose to do so?
  • When you have the right and considerable amount of risk while you are doing something, then it helps you. Sometimes when you don't take risks, you will never be able to escape a certain routine or pattern of life. Therefore, it is sometimes better to take some risk. However, one should never take too much risk. Of course, it would be fine if you were to benefit, but if you don't, you will lose a lot of things from taking that risk.
  • Everyone makes sacrifices for others. To show some simple examples, I may sacrifice some of my time in order to for my schedule to match with my friend's schedule, so we can go out. Something that's more significant and life-changing may be when I risk my job for someone else, or putting my job on the line for someone. As I mentioned, everyone has definitely made sacrifices, including me making sacrifices for others, and others making sacrifices for me. I would choose to make sacrifices when I believe that the percentage of me benefiting from my sacrifice is about 55 to 65 percent. When the risk is way too large, and when I believe that the possibility of me benefiting from the situation is low, I would not sacrifice.
